Abstract:The MFSA warns that Digital Market Mining is a fraudulent clone of Alchemy Markets Ltd. Learn how to identify financial scams and protect your investments.
The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has issued a warning regarding a new scam operation using the name “Digital Market Mining.” Fraudsters have created a fraudulent website at digitalmarketmining.com, which closely mimics the online presence of the legitimate financial services firm Alchemy Markets Ltd. This deceptive entity is attempting to trick the public into financial transactions by exploiting the details of a licensed company.
The MFSA has confirmed that Digital Market Mining is not a registered entity in Malta and is not authorized to provide any financial services within or outside the country. This site is merely a clone company, designed to impersonate Alchemy Markets Ltd, a fully licensed and regulated firm in Malta. The public is strongly advised to avoid engaging with this fake company and to refrain from any dealings with the website.
The MFSA emphasizes the importance of verifying the legitimacy of any company before entering into financial transactions. Many scams, like the Alchemy Markets Ltd fraud, use cloned websites to confuse and deceive unsuspecting investors. To ensure that a company is authorized, always check the official Malta Financial Services Register, which lists entities licensed by the MFSA. You can view this list on the MFSA's official site at mfsa.mt/financial-services-register.
If you suspect that you are dealing with a fraudulent entity or have already fallen victim to a scam, stop all transactions immediately. Contact the MFSA as soon as you suspect something is wrong. More information on how to recognize financial services scams is available through the MFSAs Scam Detection Guidelines at mfsa.mt/consumers/scams-warnings/typical-scams/.
The MFSA urges everyone to remain vigilant and protect themselves from financial fraud by always confirming the legitimacy of a company through official channels.
The Malta Financial Services Authority is the single regulator for financial services in Malta. Its primary responsibility is to regulate the financial services industry, ensuring market integrity, consumer protection, and the stability of the financial system.
